Longford County Council and Creative Ireland Longford are proud to present the first annual Padraic Colum Cruinniú on September 8th and 9th in Longford town. This event will celebrate the life and work of one of Ireland’s most accomplished writers. A native of County Longford, Padraic Colum wrote in many genres prior to his death in 1972 and among these were the legendary She Moves Through the Fair and King of Ireland’s Son.
