Congrats to our very own Longford Library staff member Eimear Mc Guinness who recently received a 3rd prize award in a recently held national short story competition held to mark the 50th anniversary of Essilor’s Limerick-made Varileux Lens
Entitled “ Seeing is Believing” by Gloria Hunter, Eimear’s pen name, tells the story of two sisters who set out on a journey to prove an injustice only to find that one of them is on the receiving end. Eimear paid tribute to local author , Kathy Rogers who also works in Longford Library for all her good advice and support as she embarks on her writing career. All at Longford County Library are very proud and wish Eimear all the best!
