Situated in the South of the parish. Is bounded on the N.W. by the tds. of Clooncallow and Newcastle; N.E. by the tds. of Rath, Kildordan and Cloonkeen;
S.E. by Cornamucklagh and Ballyclamay tds.; and S.W. by Upper Clooncullen Td. in Co. Westmeath and by Lower Clooncullen Td. in the Ph. of Noughaval.
Contains 887a. 2r. 24p., about 60 acres of which is bog and about 5 acres plantation; the remainder is well cultivated. Houses and roads are in good repair. The Church is situated in the northern part of this td. There is a well called St. Patrick's Well and Tree, and there are 5 ancient forts. It pays �46 13s. 4d. Co. Cess.
