Granard Branch Library
On May 8th 2014, Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government, Phil Hogan, officiated at the re-opening of Granard Community Library. A large crowd gathered to witness this historic occasion.

Granard Community Library is located in the old Market House building in the centre of the town. A wide range of services are available in the library including books for adults and children, broadband and wifi internet access as well as access to Microsoft Office programmes such as Word and Excel. Library access is also available to a range of online resources such as the Ordnance Survey Maps Online, Griffiths Valuation, 1901 and 1911 Census Online .
The library also organises a wide range of events for all age groups at different times during the year such as the Children’s Book and Summer Festival, Bealtaine events for Active Age Groups, FAS e- Learning and language classes during Winter and Spring.
Granard Library Bookclub
A vibrant bookclub meets at Granard Library on the last Wednesday of the month at 3:00pm. The book club will be off for the months of July & August but be back in September. New members always welcome. Please contact Rosemary at Granard Library 043 6686164 for more details.
