Healthy Ireland at Your Library

Healthy Ireland at Your Library is a national program available across all public libraries in Ireland, including all six County Longford libraries.

Offering enhanced health information at your local libraries, you can now find more books, audiobooks and digital magazines on health and wellbeing.

Libraries are also offering more talks, discussions and workshops focused on your physical and mental health. We are also more focused on health literacy to help create a better understanding of the language around health among everyone!  Library employees are also better equipped to help library members find the health information they are looking for.

'Healthy Ireland at Your Library' is a key element of Healthy Ireland; a Government-led national strategy to improve health and wellbeing, placing a focus on prevention, individual awareness and keeping people healthy for longer.
