Longford Children’s Book Festival Launches Bookmark Design Competition

Longford Children’s Book Festival Launches Bookmark Design Competition

Longford Libraries are inviting young readers to unleash their creativity in a brand-new competition ahead of this year’s Children’s Book Festival, which runs throughout the month of October. Children aged 4–13 are encouraged to design their very own bookmarks, with winning entries professionally printed and distributed across all six branch libraries.

The competition is open to two age categories: 4–8 years and 9–13 years. Each category will have one winning design, giving young artists the chance to see their work shared with the community.

Entry forms are available at all local libraries. Participants are encouraged to create bookmarks inspired by their love of reading, with ideas such as “I love books!” or “I love reading!”. Completed entries should be returned to a local library by 8 November 2025.

This competition offers a fun and creative way for children to celebrate their passion for reading while contributing to a lasting library keepsake for fellow readers. Don’t miss the chance to have your design featured across Longford!
