World War 2 is just over.  A man in his thirties is sailing on Lake Maggiore in Northern Italy, trying to avoid a return to work. He meets an enigmatic owner of a nearby villa who invites him to dinner with his older wife and beautiful widowed sister-in-law. About the Author – Peiro Chiara

Piero Chiara was born on March 23, 1913 in Luino, Lombardy Italy as Pierino Angelo Carmelo Chiara. He was a writer and actor, known for Come Have Coffee with Us (1970), Una spina nel cuore (1986) and The Return of Casanova (1978). He was married to Jula Scherb. He won many literary awards for his writing.
