This townland is situated on the cross road from the parish of Columbkill to Cavan, and borders the parishes of Granard and Columbkill.
It contains 444 acres. There is a small bog in the northern end; but the rest of the townland is arable and pasture land. Rockfield House is on the road to Cavan, and there is a large fort in the eastern end of the townland.
