This townland lies on the road from Arvagh to Scrabby, on the western shore of Lough Gowna, and opposite to Inchmore Island.
It contains 659 acres. In it arable land are greatly intermixed, and nearly in equal proportions. In the northern end of the townland, on the shore of Lough Gowna, are an extensive wood and a point called �Erne Head�.
