C.f. Aghantemple in the parish of Ardagh, where the Protestants have agreed in transposing a similar syllable, i.e., Augh-na-temple instead of
Agh-an-temple.
This td. is situated in the S. side of the parish. It is surrounded by the tds. of Farranakill, the Finns, Cloonfide, Park Place, Taghsheenod Glebe and Killeendowd in this parish and Cartron and Corrabola in Taghshinny Ph.
It is the property of Frederick Thomas Jessop, Esq., held by deed for ever. It contains 68a. 3r. 23p, all cultivated. It is rather dry and flat, and pays �15 9s. 4d. County Cess. There are only two inhabitants in this td., and they are very poor. It has one Trigl. Point, which is called Aghanvally or Killeendowd.
