Is situated in the central part of the parish, and is bounded on the S. and W. by Ballyrevagh, Carrowbeg and Carrowmore Tds.; N. by the tds. of Lightfield, Caltraghmore, Streamstown, Ballina and Cornaguillagh; and E. by the td. of Newtown Flanigan.
Contains 515� acres, about nine-tenths of which are arable and pasture land of a good quality; the remainder is bog and rough ground. It is well traversed by roads, and has 2 villages, New Town and New Row, near the former of which is built a splendid new Chapel. In this td. are 9 forts, 3 limestone quarries, and a Trigl. Point. Co. Cess - �25 3s. 3d. It is the property of Col. White.
