Situated in Lough Ree and about a mile S of the junction of Rathcline and Cashel.
These are 6 islands, but 5 are very small and are under water in winter. They contain 129 acres. There are the ruins of several churches on the main island, in a small enclosure called the Moor. The ruins of another church with a square belfry is near the centre of the island. It has been used as a Trigl. Point. Near it are the ruins of an old castle. It is the property of Mr. Kingston, and pays �9 10s. 8d. Co. Cess
