Situated in the N.E. extremity of the parish, close to the village of Cloondara. It contains 1,429a. 2r. 20 p., including islands.
This td. is partially cultivated, being greatly composed of large tracts of bog on the E. and on the S.W. extremity. It contains Fisherstown Castle, part of Cloondara Village, a Distillery, and a Roman Catholic Chapel and burying ground. The Royal Canal forms part of the S.E. boundary and passes through it to the River Shannon, which forms the western boundary.
