Gleann na n-Easbog, Vallis Episcoporum, Valley of the Bishops. So named because it contains an old graveyard, in which, according to tradition, four bishops are buried.

This townland is situated in the east of the parish, & contains 510 a. 1 r. 26 p.
It is the property of Sir. G. Featherstone, Bart., and is all arable and pasture, with the exception of about 20 acres of bog. It has one ancient fort. County Cess - �11 17s. 2d.
