Lies in the centre of the parish, on the Lanesborough and Ballymahon road. It is bounded by the tds. of Derrygowna, Derrynagran, Derrindiff, Fort Hill, Newtown Flanigan, Cornaguillagh and Ballina.
Contains 356 acres, about two-fifths of which is arable and pasture; the remainder is bog. It contains 2 forts, a limestone quarry, and a good farm house called after the townland. Co. Cess - �7 16s. 3d. It is the property of Lady Rosseand lets at a rental of �118.
